From navigating VA benefits and accessing housing to finding meaningful employment, mental health support, and financial stability, our team walks alongside veterans every step of the way. Our long-term goal is to build transitional housing exclusively for female veterans and their families, creating a safe, empowering space where they can rebuild with dignity, purpose, and hope.

Our Story
Stories & experiences
Louisiana Lavender House was founded to close the gap in veteran support services—especially for female veterans and their families who often go underserved. Our founder, Sonita Odoms, a proud U.S. Army veteran, recognized the absence of female-centered resources during her own transition to civilian life.
Today, we use that experience to guide our mission: providing compassionate, hands-on support that empowers all veterans to reclaim stability, dignity, and purpose. From benefits navigation to mental health referrals and financial coaching, we stand alongside those who served—committed to helping them rebuild and thrive.
